Planning a shoot in the style of Andy Goldsworthy:
Andy Goldsworthy Photo shoot:
Here are some final edited photos that we did in a supply lesson in the style of Andy Goldsworthy that i took within school.
The images below are taken in the style of Andy Goldsworthy outside of school.
In this shoot I used Andy Goldsworthy as inspiration to take sculptures of natural materials I found on the beach. Additionally, I used camera raw filter on Photoshop to edit my final pieces such as texture and contrast. This links to Andy as he takes an unusual approach to taking images in nature that people tend to overlook. I believe I accomplished that quite well showing different perspectives and how common objects can become visually interesting.
I can develop further by next time taking more images as a flat lay in a way of patterns rather than sculptures.
I used my Canon on manual mode.
Artist investigation: Horst P. Horst - photographer research:
I would describe Horst P. Horst's photography as a contrasting, mirroring (symmetrical) image that repeats the same pattern over and over with the usage of natural objects found from wildlife, using the contrast of white and black. I think his images is extremely effective for many reasons such as Horst P. Horst accomplished this without any usage of editing and created this in the dark room, additionally I believe it's effective down to the pure originality of each and every image.
Throughout this project I'll be using Horst P. Horst as inspiration for my own work trying to achieve the way he accomplishes some many different unique patterns. I will try and do this with the use of natural wildlife, symmetry with an original composition and edit these images using photoshop rather than doing these photographs in a dark room.

COMBINED EDITING IN THE STYLE OF HORST P. HORST BUT WITH PHOTGRPAHS UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANDY GOLDSWORTHY.
FINAL EVALUATION - WITH FINAL EDITS IN THE STYLE OF HORST P. HORST AND IN THE COMBINED EDITS.
best and worst photos in the combined edit
Above is my best edit within the combined edit task - using an image in the style of Andy Goldsworthy but using photopea (as I was at home) to edit in the style of Horst P. Horst. I really think this image is successful for few reasons such as, I think that the contrast between the colours is bold and I think the final pattern was successful.
Above this text is my worst combined final edit for a few reasons such as the image is not aligned 100 percent accurately and one of the most simple patterns in the combined edit task.
Worst edits in editing in the style of Horst P. Horst.
I think that this is my worst edit during the editing in horst p horst edit due to the alignment is messy, and the background is more blurry than i intended it to be however i do like the boldness of the colours.
